The main character of the film is one of the most popular Georgian actors - Kachki Kavsadze, but the film
is not about an actor. "Will there be a theater up there?" is the chronicle of the Kavsadzes, a family of great Georgian folk
singers and actors. Their story reflects the lives of millions who live, and have lived, in the former USSR; the stories
of the people who participated in WWII, suffering both the concentration camps of Nazi Germany, and the subsequent oppression of the communists in the gulags of the USSR.
